When booking a spa appointment, you might think you’re just signing up for some relaxation. However, to truly enjoy your Kaveri spa experience, it’s essential to know what to avoid. Let me share my experience to help you sidestep any pitfalls and make the most of your visit.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to unwind and recharge at Kaveri Spa, nestled within the tranquil grounds of The Udaya Hotel. From the moment I stepped into this Balinese oasis, I knew I was in for a treat. The serene ambiance, coupled with the gentle sounds of nature, created the perfect setting for relaxation.
I’m excited to share my experience with you, from the moment I booked this blissful spa. I’ll walk you through everything from booking the spa online to spa room atmosphere to the treatments I enjoyed. This blogpost is not just about the pampering; I’ll also share some tips and tricks I learned along the way to help you make the most of your spa day. Trust me, I made a few rookie mistakes that I want to save you from! So, let’s delve into it!
Quick Essential Pro-tips & Advice
To make the most of your spa day, here are a few tips:
- Plan ahead: Book your appointment in advance. They get easily fully booked especially during peak season and if you have time preferences to experience the spa.
- Important Note: All bookings, including the dinner and high tea packages, are final and cannot be refunded. Please choose carefully when making your reservation.
- Discount Code: Want to save some cash? Book your spa day directly on the Kaveri Spa website and enjoy a cool 30% off! Just use the code KAV30 when you book.
- Website: https://kaverispa.theudayaresort.com/
- Arrive early: Arrive at least 30 minutes early to fill out some forms and also to give time for the staff to orient you in their facility. Being on time is key, as late arrivals will cut into your precious pampering time.
- Perfect lighting: For those Instagram-worthy flower bath pics, try going early in the morning or late afternoon when the sunlight is softer and prettier. When you’re taking photos inside the treatment room, feel free to dim the lights for a magical touch. Don’t worry, the therapists are used to guests doing this! They are also pros at taking photos! Just make sure to stay within your spa time.
- Attire: Use your swimsuit when you come for your spa appointment. Because after your massage, you can slip into your swimsuit again and dive into the flower bath. It’s the perfect way to relax (you don’t feel conscious or uncomfortable without clothes!) and snap some gorgeous photos. Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit and a change of clothes if you’re not staying at the hotel.

The Experience

My partner and I recently indulged in the Kaveri Rejuvenating Couple with Celebration of Flowers package, a 120-minute bliss for IDR 2,590,000 (around $240 AUD). Just a heads up, this package is non-refundable once you’ve booked and paid.
The package included an hour-long massage, a 30-minute body scrub and mask, and a 30-minute flower bath. It is super relaxing massage, with a refreshing body scrub, and ultimate chill-out session in a flower bath.
We made a rookie mistake though – we forgot to bring swimsuits! Luckily, they provided disposable underwear, and the flower petals were our cover-up. We chose the “Alexandra” flower bath design, which was so perfect. We opted for different body scrubs – I loved the green tea, while my partner was obsessed with the aloe vera.
The spa itself was a total vibe, with beautiful decor and calming Balinese music. The therapists were amazing and made us feel so relaxed. We even managed to snag the Round bathtub in the Garden area, which was perfect for our couple’s session.
It was the ultimate escape from reality, and we’re already planning our next visit!

My Favourite Amenities

Body Scrubs (Mango, Green Tea, Aloe Vera and Strawberry Scrubs)
Indulge your senses with Kaveri Spa’s luxurious body scrubs. We both loved our body scrubs at Kaveri Spa. Nick was all about the soothing aloe vera, while I couldn’t get enough of the refreshing green tea. They also have mango and strawberry options if those sound more your vibe! Your skin will thank you.
Celebration of Flower Bath Designs
Sinking into a bathtub filled with the most beautiful, colourful flowers you’ve ever seen. That’s what it’s like to try Kaveri Spa’s Celebration of Flowers bath. It’s like bathing in a fairytale! The petals are so soft and the water smells amazing. It’s the ultimate way to relax and feel like royalty.

The Kaveri Spa Deeva Dinner and High Tea package was an absolute treat. The dinner was undeniably the highlight. Every dish was full of flavour, and we left the table feeling thoroughly satisfied. It was such a pleasant surprise to discover that we could enjoy this lovely dinner in the comfort of our hotel room. Despite having a spa session from 4PM to 6 PM, we were able to request the dinner to serve at 7PM, which was incredibly accommodating.
The High tea was equally impressive, boasting a delightful array of treats that could easily qualify as a substantial afternoon meal. Unfortunately, our enjoyment was cut short as we had to leave to make way for the next guests. While the food was exceptional, the time constraint detracted from the overall experience… Let me share you, my experience.

Piece of Advice
When you book an appointment at Kaveri Spa, they’ll ask if you’d like to add any extras. These include the Deeva Dinner Package, which offers an appetiser, main course, and dessert for IDR 250,000 ($23 AUD) per person, and the High Tea Package, which includes hot tea and snacks for IDR 181,000 ($17 AUD) per person.
I want to share some mistakes I made so you can avoid overspending and get the most out of your spa experience.
- When I booked our spa appointment, I added 2 x Deeva Dinner Packages and 2 x High Tea Packages. Unfortunately, these are non-refundable. At the time, I was still in Australia and thought we could enjoy both dinner and high tea since we were hotel guests. However, I later realised that one High Tea Package is enough for two people. Because I booked two, I ended up wasting money.
- The High Tea was served during our 30-minute flower bath, which was a bit inconvenient. After the body scrub and mask, we needed to shower before soaking in the flower bath, which took away from the 30-minute flower bath session. Honestly, we didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy or immerse ourselves in the bath, and we felt rushed because the next guests were waiting.
Also, if you’re not a hotel guest and you order both the High Tea and Dinner Packages, it can be a bit inconvenient. They will likely ask you to finish everything in their restaurant, which means carrying your high tea package to the restaurant while still in your swimsuit or something similar.
My tip is to avoid adding the High Tea Package during your spa booking. Instead, ask for it to be served in your hotel room. Unfortunately, we realised too late that the flower bath session would take up our time. While I enjoyed the spa massage, the flower bath session was less enjoyable due to this issue.

Final Thoughts
Kaveri Spa at The Udaya Resort is a true Balinese haven, offering a luxurious and serene escape from the everyday grind. The stunning gardens, calming music, and skilled therapists create a truly rejuvenating experience. The flower bath is a highlight, offering a unique and visually stunning way to unwind.
Pros:
- Beautiful and tranquil setting
- Highly skilled therapists
- Luxurious treatments
- Unique flower bath experience
- Delicious Deeva Dinner & High Tea package
Cons:
- Non-refundable packages can lead to overspending
- Time constraints can make it difficult to fully enjoy the experience
- Some aspects of the experience may be awkward for non-hotel guests
Despite a few minor drawbacks, I highly recommend Kaveri Spa for anyone seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating escape in Bali. The pros far outweigh the cons, and the overall experience is truly magical. With the help of my experience and insights, you can plan ahead and avoid any potential pitfalls. Embrace the beautiful Balinese hospitality and enjoy a smooth and blissful spa experience.
